Healing Body Project – Terms, Conditions and Consent Form

1. Overview of Healing Body Project
a. Healing Body Project is a coaching program offering psychoeducational content via online programs. Healing Body Project’s courses are aimed at people that have undergone mastectomy surgery and who are struggling with aspects of this such as body image, after surgery. This course is not a replacement for therapy and is not designed to treat clinical conditions such as diagnosed or undiagnosed mental disorders.
b. Healing Body Project was designed to provide high quality, evidence-based content to women that have undergone mastectomy surgery and are struggling with body image.
2. Structure of Healing Body Project
a. Healing Body Project’s Course will be run online with pre-recorded modules, supported by weekly group live calls for a duration of 6 weeks. It will contain 6 weekly online modules initially with 10 participants for the BETA program, and then increasing overtime to an undefined number.
b. There will be opportunities to re-watch prerecorded materials, with additional exercises that may be complete at home, such as journalling prompts and meditations that will be completed without supervision.
c. The content will be made available via an online student portal which you will have lifetime access to, and with a Facebook group which runs only for the duration of the course.
d. Private coaching will not be offered as part of this course.
3. Relationship with Healing Body Project
a. Healing Body Project is operated by Natasha Jivan who is a registered psychologist.
b. While Natasha Jivan is a registered psychologist, the Healing Body Project is not a psychology service.
c. By consenting to participate in the Healing Body Project’s coaching program participants acknowledge that they are participating in a coaching program and are not receiving psychological services from Natasha Jivan.
d. To avoid any potential conflicts of interest arising, clients of Natasha Jivan cannot be accepted as participants in the Healing Body Project program within at least 2 years of cessation of psychological services provided by Natasha Jivan.
e. Similarly, participants in the Healing Body Project’s coaching program cannot be accepted as clients of Natasha Jivan within a minimum of 1 year of completion of the program.
f. Any requests for cross-referral or registration between former clients of Natasha Jivan and Healing Body Project will be assessed on a case by case basis, and will only be accepted at Natasha’s discretion, depending on the individual circumstances.
g. If in the course of participating in the Healing Body Project’s program, issues arise which in Natasha’s professional opinion are beyond the scope of the coaching relationship, a participant may be advised to see their GP and obtain a referral to consult with an appropriate clinician.
h. Natasha Jivan may at any time and in their sole discretion, terminate a participant’s registration in the Healing Body Project Coaching Program if Natasha Jivan considers it appropriate to do so. In the event of termination of a participant’s registration in the Healing Body Project’s program on this basis, a partial refund of the participant’s registration fees may be provided.
4. Privacy and Disclosure of Personal Information
a. As part of your participation in the Healing Body Project Coaching Program, Healing Body Project Coaching needs to collect and record information from you.
b. We will provide a copy of our Privacy Policy which we request you read and acknowledge your understanding of, prior to signing this document.
c. Also provided is a copy of our: Participant Information Sheet & Waiver
5. Technology Requirements
a. Healing Body Project is provided online through our website portal and by videoconferencing. You are responsible for the costs associated with setting up the technology needed so you can access online content and participate in video conferencing workshops.
b. To access Healing Body Project’s content, you will need access to a computer, video camera, speakers, and environmental factors (such as a private room or quiet space).
c. The privacy of any form of communication via the internet is potentially vulnerable and limited by the security of the technology used.
6. Conditions of Purchase and Intellectual Property
a. Healing Body Project’s website, its Program and all content provided within, is the intellectual property of Healing Body Project.
b. The reproduction, exploitation, redistribution or use of all or part of any visual, auditory or software element or document from Healing Body Project’s Website or the program is prohibited.
7. Fees
a. Initial fee for the Brave Body Blueprint - Beta Program is $187 for the online program, time limited facebook group and lifetime access to the BETA course version.
8. Cancellation & Refund Policy
a. Healing Body Project will grant a refund of the registration fee paid by any participant, within 72 hours prior to the commencement date of the Healing Body Project’s program.
b. After the commencement of the course, full or partial refund of the registration fee will be granted at the discretion of Healing Body Project, and ordinarily only in circumstances where a participant’s registration is terminated by Healing Body Project in accordance with the terms of Part 3.
9. Consent to participation in the Healing Body Project
a. I confirm that I have read and understood the information in this document about Healing Body Project Coaching and I acknowledge the following:
9.1.1. Healing Body Project is a coaching service. Although the Healing Body Project program Natasha Jivan is a registered psychologist, this is not a psychological service and I will not be receiving psychological services, treatment, advice or therapy in the course of my participating in the Healing Body Project’s program;
9.1.2. I am not an existing client of Natasha Jivan and I have not previously accessed psychological services provided by Natasha Jivan;
9.1.3. As a result of my participation in the Healing Body Project Coaching Program, I am precluded from accessing psychological services provided by Natasha Jivan for a minimum period of 2 years from the completion of the program;
9.1.4. I have read and understood the Healing Body Project Privacy Policy.
